We Are Stronger than Our Fears


Tulisan ini saya angkat berdasarkan film baru yang berjudul My Name Is Khan.

Film ini juga berhasil meraih berbagai penghargaan di UK dan juga New Zealand.

Film dimulai saat seorang anak, Rizwan Khan (Tanay Chheda), seorang muslim yang mengidap sindrom Asperger, hidup bersama ibunya (Zarina Wahab) di wilayah Borivali di Mumbai. Saat ia dewasa (Shahrukh Khan), Rizwan pindah ke San Fransisko dan hidup bersama adik dan iparnya. Selama disana, ia jatuh cinta kepada Mandira (Kajol). Mereka menikah dan memulai usaha

Setelah peristiwa 9/11, Rizwan dan Mandira mulai menghadapi beberapa kesulitan. Dimulai dari sebuah tragedi, mereka berpisah. Mandira bahkan berujar “I should never have married a Muslim man”. Ingin kembali memenangkan hati istrinya, Rizwan melewati sejumlah petualangan diberbagai negara bagian di Amerika.

Hingga pada akhirnya Rizwan mendapatkan apa yang dia inginkan dan dia mengatakan “My name is Khan, and I’m not a terrorist”

Dari film ini, saya dapat memberikan gambaran bahwa hidup tidaklah selalu sama dengan apa yang kita harapkan. Tetapi kita harus dapat melakukan penyesuaian (adjustment) dengan keadaan yang terjadi. Segala macam kejadian merupakan bumbu-bumbu dari kehidupan yang akan menambah cita rasa dari perjalanan hidup ini.

Football Manager 2009 Just Released


FM09 Demo Out Now!

There are two different versions of the demo available for PC and MAC, a ‘strawberry’ and ‘vanilla’ version, with both providing half a season of gameplay. The saved games from the demo will be compatible with the full release of the game.

Vanilla Demo

The vanilla version of the demo is English language only, and features the English and Scottish leagues, with no player photos or logos in order to reduce the size of the download.

FM09 Patch Out Now!

The game authentication servers are now live for Football Manager 2009 and the first Football Manager 2009 Patch (9.0.1) is available tonight. This patch fixes a number of compatibility issues with the game and we would encourage people to download it and use with their copy of Football Manager 2009.

We highly advise people to authenticate through the STEAM platform, as with STEAM installed you will get automatic updates, the first of which is already uploaded and ready to go via STEAM.

Please note that whilst the update will allow many people with below minimum spec machines / graphics cards who had problems with the demo to get the game up and running, some below-spec graphics cards may require the DirectX 9.0 SDK is installed to run the game. This can be downloaded from the following url:

We have been unable to test this on every graphics card on the market as, well, we don’t have all of them, but this should fix the problem for the majority of those with below spec machines. If we find some that are still not up and running, we will look into these issues in the coming weeks.

Please also note that for those who want to get the demo up and running on their below minimum spec machines before purchasing, we are still planning on releasing a compatability patch for the demo, and this will follow in the coming days. We do not have a firm date for this as yet.
